The main objective of the HIV/AIDS Project in Swaziland is to implement the HIV/AIDS national strategic plans in reducing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the country.
Component 1: Health System Strengthening
Component 2: HIV/AIDS related social protection
Component 3: Strengthening Public-Private Partnership
Component 4: Institutional Development
The provisional project cost is around US$50 million.

The Board Approval took place on 10 March 2011.
10 December 2010
The Board Approval has been rescheduled on 10 March 2011. The total project cost is now estimated at US$ 41 million.
15 September 2010
The Board Approval has been moved to 16 November 2010.
The objectives of the project have been revised which are to: improve access to and quality of health services in Swaziland with focus on primary heath care, maternal health and TB; and increase the access of OVC to social safety nets.
The project now comprises the following components:
Component 1: Strengthening the Capacity of the Health Sector
Component 2: Facility-Level Support to Improve Access, Quality and Efficiency of Services
Component 3: HIV/AIDS Impact Mitigation
