For fiscal 2009-2010, the UK Department for International Development has set aside GBP48 million (US$75.5 million) for new health programs and ongoing initiatives in macroeconomics, governance and social protection. This is part of the country assistance plan which sets out the agency’s focus in Zambia for the next three years.
UPDATE, 07 June 2011: DFID has allotted GBP5.5 million for the deepening democracy program which supports the UNDP election project and non-governmental organizations in Zambia.
