The objective of the Local Government and Decentralization Project is to improve management of Central Government Capital (DAK) Grants to benefit districts and provinces in Indonesia.
The components of the project include:
Component 1: Improvement of service delivery; and
Component 2: Capacity building.
The project is expected to be approved on 15 December 2009 with a total cost of US$ 200 million.

The project has been approved on 08 June 2010, and is expected to be completed by 30 June 2014. The project financing is now estimated at US$ 220 million, which will be provided by IBRD.
The components of the project have been restructured as follows:
Component 1: DAK Reimbursement
Component 2: Institutional Development
Component 3: Verification of Outputs (VO)
