Top USAID Private Sector Partners: A Primer
The U.S. Agency for International Development regularly taps the private sector to deliver assistance abroad. Which companies have received the largest share? Here’s our top 20, based on USAID data.
The Department for International Development
(DFID) seeks a Service Provider (SP) for the design and delivery of a Market Development Programme (MDP)
in Nepal. The purpose of the programme is that the poor and marginalised groups in Nepal benefit from
increased pro-poor investments and improved access to markets, information, skills and assets. It is expected
that contracts will be awarded for design and implementation of the MDP focusing on the tourism and
agriculture sectors. It is anticipated that the MDP will have a matching grant (e.g. Challenge Fund) component
to encourage the private sector to make pro-poor investments in the agriculture and tourism sectors. The
selected SP will be required to provide technical assistance expertise and disburse the grant funds to third
parties in the implementation phase. Neither the selected SP nor it's employees or associates will be eligible
to receive funds due to the conflict of interest this would present.General management consultancy services.
