The total budget for this project is estimated at US$ 28.4 million.

The project has been approved by the Board on 8 March 2012. The project completion is expected on 31 March 2018. The total project cost is now estimated at US$26.59 million.

The Board Approval has been moved to 3 May 2011. The total project cost is now estimated at US$ 41 million.
The objective of the project is to espouse integrated water resource management (IWRM) practices in the Lower Mekong Basin (LMB) at all levels.
The project now consists of the following components:
Component 1: Regional Water Resources Management
Component 2: National Water Resources Management
Component 3: Improved Floodplain and Aquatic Resources Management in Regionally Significant Areas
