Top USAID Private Sector Partners: A Primer
The U.S. Agency for International Development regularly taps the private sector to deliver assistance abroad. Which companies have received the largest share? Here’s our top 20, based on USAID data.
The Government of Albania has applied for a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in the amount of US$ 7 million equivalent towards the cost of the Natural Resources Development Project (NRDP). The project is co-financed by: i) the Global Environmental Facility (US $ 5 million); ii) Swedish Grant SIDA (US$ 5.2 million) and iii) the Government of Albania (US$ 2.2 million). The total project cost is US$ 19.4 million. Bidding for all contracts in this project will be governed by the World Bank’s eligibility rules and procedures. The Government of Albania intends to apply part the proceeds of the SIDA grants to payment for “Participatory training need assessment of forest and pasture extension service and local government unit structures” for Natural Resource Development Project.
