The Republic of Armenia has received financing in the amount of US$ 11.28 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Public Sector Modernization Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the United State Agency for International Development (USAID) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (the GTZ)]. The project will provide support for the design and implementation of “second generation” institutional reforms, in particular those that aim to strengthen management systems in state institutions and those that have direct impact on improving the business environment. The project will consist of six components, which will fund key innovations in horizontal management processes and capacity building in specific institutions in Armenian Public Administrations. The main project components are: i) Strengthening Civil Service Management; ii) Introducing E-procurement; iii) Strengthening the Chamber of Control of the RoA; iv) Improving Policy Formulation and Implementation Through Capacity Building; v) Developing Capacity in Local Governments and (vi) Project Management, Surveys and Communications.
