Project Summary

Description UNDP/ICAO/Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air Transport intend to carry out minor works on the extended portion of the runway 24. The work to be carried out will involve cutting of trees, uprooting of trees, grading, backfilling, watering and compacting.  The construction materials to be used for backfilling shall be from quarries within the vicinity of the Hargeisa airport. The prospective contractors shall carry out their own assessment of gravel availability around the airport, the number of trees to be cut and uprooted before submitting their bids.
