Project Summary

As part of the 2009-2010 country program, the U.N. Population Fund has reserved US$1.7 million to fund HIV/AIDS prevention efforts and advancement of reproductive health services and rights in Mauritania.

 

UPDATE, 22 March 2010: The program has been operational since 2009.

 

UPDATE, 16 July 2010: In its annual session last June 21-July 2, the UNFPA executive board approved the one-year extension of the country program for Mauritania up to 2011.
