Project Summary

The Gender and Governance Program (GGPIII) aims to ensure that gender equality is addressed in national planning processes and governance structures and to ensure women’s participation in development planning and policy implementation. Within this framework, UNIFEM intends to expand its strategic partnership with civil society organizations that are working to ensure accountable, gender-responsive service delivery through various initiatives such as engaging women in local priority setting and resource allocations, community mobilization for demanding equitable service delivery or/and organizations tracking progress in implementation of gender equality policies and programs, as well as organizations working for promotion and protection of women’s human rights.
