Second HIV/AIDS Project in Jamaica

The Second HIV/AIDS Project in Jamaica is designed to support the Government’s National HIV/AIDS Program through: (i) intensifying prevention involvement; (ii) expanding the access to treatment, care and support services for involved individuals; and, (iii) health sector reform and capacity building in responding to HIV/AIDS and other priority health problems.
Component 1: Prevention Activities
Component 2: Treatment, Care and Support
Component 3: Institutional Capacity Building for Policy Formulation, Program Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation
Component 4: Support to the Health Sector Development
The WB estimates the total project cost at US$ 11 million.

The project has been approved on 13 May 2008. The total project cost is now US$ 11.54 million.
