The Strengthening Technical and Vocational Education Project in Cambodia is one of the programs in the Country that focusing improving education in the country. This project is one of the Government’s responses providing a stronger links between education and rural development to strength the skills of the increasing rural labor force through improvement in technical and vocational training in the country. This will involve capacity building activities for demand-driven vocational training.
ADB will provide a loan in the amount of US$17.5 million.

The total cost of the project is estimated at US$ 27.52 million, with a Grant in the amount of US$ 24.5 million.
The project will procure works involving the construction and rehabilitation of training infrastructures and facilities.

The project has been approved on 13 November 2009. It is expected to be completed by January 2015.

US$ 24.5 million will be provided by ADB.
It is expected that the project will require 585 person months person months of consultants (157 person months of international and 428 of national services). The Project Management Unit of the executing agency will be responsible for the selection and hiring consultants. The Terms of Reference will be available soon.
The goods that will be procured will include motorcycles, computers, and office equipment.
