The U.S. Agency for International Development regularly taps the private sector to deliver assistance abroad. Which companies have received the largest share? Here’s our top 20, based on USAID data.
The Support to a Network of African Institutions of Science and Technology Project in West Africa aims to provide a regional consolidated response to the needs for highly-qualified personnel in science and engineering in ECOWAS region by increasing the number and improving the quality of qualified science and engineering graduates.
The project is structured around the following components:
Component 1: Facilitating Regional and Institutional Networking (UA 3.73 million/ US$ 5.5 million);
Component 2: Improving Relevance of Training and Research (UA 8.06 million/ US$ 12.09 million); and
Component 3: Project Management (UA 0.21 million/ US$ 0.31 million).
The African Development Fund (ADF) estimates the total project cost at UA 12 million (US$ 18 million).
