Project Summary

The consultant will provide assistance to the Turkish authorities and in particular the Secretariat General for EU Affairs (EUSG) and CFCU in carrying out “results oriented monitoring” (ROM) of EU funded projects in Turkey falling under Component I of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA). This component covers institution building and technical assistance in line with the priorities for Turkey’s accession to the EU. The projects cover service, supply and works contracts as well as direct grants with international institutions and a number of grant schemes. The technical assistance team will apply the ROM methodology in the monitoring of approximately 130 projects in the following indicative sectors: public administration, agriculture and fisheries, customs union and taxation, energy, environment, financial control, internal market, social policy and employment, statistics, transport, civil society dialogue.
