The International Development Correspondent Program brings students and recent graduates of post-graduate programs in International Development or related fields to one of the offices of Devex to do research and write journalistic articles related to practical issues in International Development. The articles are published on our popular websites and provide guidance to thousands of professionals in international development and those hoping to work in the field.

Chiden, a correspondent based in Seoul, focuses on computer-assisted reporting to provide international development professionals with practical business and career information. He also contributes to the Development Newswire and the Global Development Briefing, two of the world's highest-circulation development publications.

John is a Devex News correspondent based in London covering DfID and U.K. aid reform. During a 10-year stint at the Sunday Times in the '80s and '90s, he was shortlisted as reporter of the year at the U.K. Press Awards, one of several accolades he has received. John has worked for the Independent and Conde Nast Traveller, among other publications. Most recently, he served as publisher of Christian Aid News, part of his role as head of media for Christian Aid.

Mukami is a Devex correspondent based in Nairobi. She received a diploma in communications from Daystar University, Kenya, and has undertaken training in financial and economic reporting from the International Institute of Journalism in Berlin, Germany. Mukami has covered business and written features for two of Kenya’s leading media companies, the Standard Group and Nation Media Group.

David has served as U.N. correspondent for the newswire UPI and reported for several major newspapers, including the New York Daily News and Newsday. He was chief correspondent for the Kashmir Observer in Srinagar, India, and regularly contributes to the Economist, among other publications. Since 2007, David has reported for Devex News from Washington, New York, as well as South Asia.

Samuel is a Devex News correspondent who writes mostly about global health and poverty reduction. His articles and photos have appeared in The New York Times, The Economist, The Washington Post and The Lancet. He has also shot and produced two films for PBS. Sam has received journalism grants from the German Marshall Fund of the United States and The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, and in 2001-2002 was a Knight-Bagehot Journalism Fellow at Columbia University.

Sam is a writer and videographer based in Barcelona who has reported for Devex News from the Middle East and South Asia. She has worked in radio as the executive producer of the Good Life Show, hosted her own talk radio shows, worked as a correspondent and journalism trainer in northern Ghana, and freelanced for a variety of online and print publications.

Elena covers the development work of the European Union as well as various U.N. food and agricultural agencies for Devex News. Based in Rome, she also reports about Italy's aid reforms and attends the European Development Days and other events across Europe. She has interviewed top international development officials, including European Commissioner for Development Andris Piebalgs. Elena has contributed to Italian and international magazines, newspapers and news portals since 1995.

Lawrence is a Paris-based correspondent and communications consultant who has been reporting and writing on development issues for more than 20 years. He covers French development assistance and has interviewed French Development Agency Director-General Dov Zerah for Devex News.

Pamela serves as Devex News correspondent in Geneva. She is a journalist, editor and journalism trainer with 30 years experience in the United States, Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and the Middle East who specializes in development and human rights reporting.
