Team Leader

CDM is looking to fill senior program management positions on a number of large international civil works projects, particularly associated with water supply. For the position of Project Manager/ Team Leader, the following Job Description and Requirements apply: JOB DESCRIPTION • In general, ensuring overall compliance with CDM’s budget, scope, schedule, quality and reporting requirements on the assignment • Management and leadership of the program management team • Advice and counsel to the contracting/owning agencies on matters relating to program success including project delivery strategies, procurement, contract management, design and construction oversight, and commissioning • Regular reporting to both the client, other stakeholders as required by the client, and CDM • Adherence to CDM’s quality management program REQUIREMENTS • Degrees: Undergraduate degree in engineering is a minimum and an advanced degree is preferred • Experience: At least 20 years of extensive international experience in the planning, design, and construction of medium to large civil projects. Experience with treatment plants, large-diameter pipelines, dams, hydro-electric facilities, tunneling, reservoirs and pump stations built in accordance with international standards, and constructed by international-scale civil works contractors • Highly professional education and training in project development, management, and implementation or similar fields including program-level cost estimating systems and risk management • Management of similar assignments in developing countries • Knowledge, experience and understanding of program controls including web-based systems for scheduling, financial/funding tracking and reporting, and document management • Language(s): Fluent in English • Certifications: P.E. or C.E. certification preferred
