Egis Bceom International has acquired 60 years of experience in engineering and consultancy, enabling it to carry out major development projects financed by international and national funding agencies.
The company works in 90 countries where it is a French multi-disciplinary leader in the fields of transport (road, rail, ports, airports, engineering structures, etc.), water (drinking water, sewerage/sanitation, resource management, river hydraulics, etc.), the environment, energy, and economic and institutional consultancy.
Its teams of specialists (engineers, technicians, economists, financial, legal or institutional experts, etc.) are in a position to provide any type of service (planning, feasibility, preliminary and final design studies, works supervision, impact assessments, technical assistance and audits) to our public or private clients throughout the world.
The project involves the completion of a crucial 176.4 km section of road from Choir to Sainshand (35th railway crossing) originally financed by the Government of Korea following preparation by ADB, but left nearly 90% uncompleted due to cost overruns, contractor contract breaches and the global financial crisis; design and construction of a new 260 m bridge on the Tuul river near the Bayanzurkh tollgate to replace the existing 252 meter (m) bridge, which is rapidly deteriorating and currently can’t accept heavy vehicular traffic, for main highway and heavy traffic use; rehabilitate the existing bridge for light traffic; and, rehabilitate 17.5 km of the highway from these bridges to Nalaikh. The road is the only improved road entering Ulaanbaatar from the south and east.
The expert must have a Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction management or field comparable experience; 15 years of total experience in road sector experience. Have 5 years experience with FIDIC form of contract, experience in working on multidisciplinary teams established to reach specific and measurable goals and objectives; and experience on projects funded by international financial institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank or bilateral sources is preferred.
He also has to provide experience in managing successful road construction projects under challenging climatic and logistical conditions similar those existing in Mongolia.
