Water and Electricity Utility positions

For support to the Water and Electricity Utility of Chuuk state in Micronesia, Egis Bceom International is looking for the following international positions:  

1-Utility Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 

The CEO will be in charge of:

- direct management of the utility

- supervision of quality delivery of electricity, water supply and sewerage services  

- analysing business needs

- developing long range strategies

- assessing human resources and proposing training plan

- representing CPUC at state level

- liaising with CPUC Board.

2-Water Supply and Sewerage Operations Manager (WSSOM) 

The WSSOM will assume the following responsibilities:

- technical operations of the water and sewerage networks

 - assess the level of service and determine appropriate standards

 - analyse the water supply network and propose appropriate rehabilitation measures

- assess the capacity and skills of the personnel and implement training

- supervise the monitoring and performance of the systems.

 3-Power Operations Manager (POM) 

The POM will assume responsibility for:

- technical operations of the power system

- assessing the level of service and determine appropriate standards

- analysing the electricity network and propose appropriate rehabilitation measures

- reviewing current procedures for power and distribution

- assessing the capacity and skills of the personnel and implement training  

- supervising the monitoring and performance of the systems.

4-Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) 

the AFM will report to the CPUC Finance Manager for the following tasks:

- reviewing current financial operations, accounting and reporting tools

- supervising the upgrading of the MIS system

- assuming responsibility for the installation of prepayment

- assisting negotiation of supply contracts 

- proposing adapted tariffs and related amendments to state legislation. 

Full time position of 2 years in Chuuk for the 4 positions mentioned above.
