Global Objective

The global objective of this assignment is to prepare necessary background elements for the national Media Strategy which will be drafted by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with media stakeholders.

Specific objectives

The specific objectives of the assignment are the following:

·         To conduct a study about the media scene in Serbia as a basis for media strategy;

·         Assist the Ministry of Culture in consultation process with stakeholders about the media strategy;

Requested profiles

Expert 3 (legal expert)

Key task: provide expertise on the relevant European media regulatory frameworks and recommendations for the process of alignment with the Acquis in the field of audiovisual and media policy in Serbia and participation at the conference and one consultation media policy meeting

Working days: 28

Qualifications and skills

• Education: University degree in law, public administration , EU integration or equivalent
• Skilled in drafting reports

General professional experience

• 10 years of professional working experience in the media industry, law firm specialized for media issues, international organisations or public administration

Specific professional experience

• Knowledge of acquis communautaire in the field of information society and media
• Knowledge of Council of Europe treaties and standard-setting instruments in the field of media and information society
• Experience in legal practice and/or media policy

Language skills

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
