Now do something extraordinary…
You’re recognized for your capacity building experience that have boosted your organization’s success and shareholder satisfaction. But are you satisfied? Imagine using your training support and coordination skills to build a better world for children - transforming today’s world, where a child dies every seven seconds from causes related to poverty. Now that’s doing something extraordinary.
In this role, you will assist in creating and providing capacity building opportunities (workshop, e-learning, and one-on-one coaching) and general administrative coordination that support the US Government Grant Compliance capacity building team. Work collaboratively with team members to:
- Communicate regularly with all staff, including remote sites, to assess grant compliance training needs. Provide research and writing for content of training.
- Assist in curriculum and training material development: material content, workbooks, presentations, webinars, field support tools, etc.
- Provide facilitator support and training event management: workshop material, etc.
- Provide administration and coordination of training: participants registration, lists, participant surveys, administration of certification program, etc.
- Serve as liaison for participants and communication support for management and/or project management. Coach participants regarding workshop prerequisites and follow-up.
- Represent training on strategic regional projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others. Attend and participate in the leadership of daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
Successful candidate should have:
- Two-year technical or junior college degree or equivalent experience. Practical, specialized experience in at least one area (some breadth or depth in an area); 2 - 3 years.
- Understanding to U.S. Government grants and regulations, experience with USAID and USDA preferred.
- Experience with non-classroom/workshop training such as handouts, workbooks, slide presentations, webinars and related training methods.
- Flexibility: much of the training inherent in this position may take place outside of the classroom/workshop setting.
Training event management can be laborious and the position may require occasional evening and weekend work.
- Supportive and energetic
- Detailed-oriented
- Good written and verbal communications skills
Who we are: World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
