Short-term experts

This project with a start date September 2008 and an end date December 2010, provides the Ukrainian Government with a comprehensive strategy for the reform of the coal mining sector. The project will take in-depth stock of the current state of the sector and work on the following main components:
  
Component A.) Institutional strengthening of the Ukrainian coal mining industry;
Component B.) Master plan for the development of the Ukrainian coal industry;
Component C.) Social policy: setting up a social development fund;
Component D.) Improving occupational safety;
Component E.) Catalogue of contaminated sites.

The project represents a unique opportunity to leading experts in the field to make strategic inputs into the Ukrainian coal sector. The Human Dynamics Consortium therefore invites qualified experts, that fulfil the following minimum requirements listed below, to submit their CV's in English language. 

*      Qualifications and skills:
Either:
a) University degree in Mining Engineering discipline or in the other relevant fields related to the task required or equivalent;
b) University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Social Sciences or any other fields related to the task required;
c) University Degree in Mining, Occupational Safety or in other fields related to the task required;
d) University degree in Environment or any other fields related to the task required

-         Fluency in English, both  spoken and written;

-         Knowledge in Russian or Ukrainian language would be an asset;

-         Profound knowledge of the Ukrainian mining sector would be an advantage

-         Preferably experience with EU funded projects.

*      Your professional track record must include:

Either:
a) 10 years experience in the mining sector;
b) 7 years professional experience in the field of social infrastructure planning and     assessment; labour market analysis and law; vocational education;
c) 5 years experience in the field of occupational safety in the mining industry;
d) 7 years professional experience on environmental issues related to mining.
