The Organizational Behavior Group (OB Group) within the Collaborative Performance and Learning Section (CPL Section) of Defence Research and Development Canada – Toronto (DRDC Toronto) has received approval to conduct a three year Applied Research Project (ARP) to explore and identify the mechanisms of establishing and maintaining interagency trust. More specifically, the purpose of the Interagency Trust ARP is to understanding the psychological processes associated with trust in such environments in order to contribute to and enhance the development of this mission critical capability.
Research support will be required to achieve objectives of this ARP, in particular skills that contribute to and allow for the rigorous investigation of the social and organizational aspects of individual and team performance in interagency settings. The requirements of this Task Authorization Contract (TAC) involve basic and applied research using both experimental and non-experimental methods, as well as qualitative and quantitative data-analytic techniques. The requirements of this TAC may also require expertise regarding the manner in which the military and OGDs have functioned historically and are currently functioning.
The military scope for the research is targeted to operational, tactical, and training environments, and for all services within the Canadian Forces, including Regular and Reserve Forces. The scope of this research will also extend to OGDs, particularly those that contribute to the comprehensive approach to expeditionary operations on a regular basis (DFAIT, CIDA, Corrections Canada, RCMP). Specific topics of inquiry would include – but not be limited to – theoretical, predictive, and empirical analyses of cognitive, socio-cultural, and organizational processes of collaborative behaviour, training, and trust in multi-agency contexts.
The maximum funding available for the Contract resulting from the bid solicitation is $500,000.00. (Goods and Services Tax or Harmonized Sales Tax extra, as appropriate)
The minimum Contract value is $30,000 for the period of the Contract.
The period of the Contract is from date of award to March 31, 2012.
