Stakeholder and Community Relations Adviser

2 long-term positions

URS has been invited to provide two long term stakeholder and community relations advisers to support Esso Highlands Limited teams involved with construction activities for the PNG LNG Project.

 

The PNG LNG Project is currently moving into a construction phase including the construction of a pipeline and airfield.  These are key elements of project infrastructure to meet the goal of production and transport of gas from the Southern Highlands and Western Province of PNG to a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility near Port Moresby for shipment to markets overseas.

 

The Project will provide energy for the Asia-Pacific region, jobs and economic benefits for PNG.

 

URS are currently seeking 2  Stakeholder and Community Relations Advisers to be the single point of contact between: the PNG LNG  Social Economic Lands and Community Affairs (SELCA) group; the EPC5 (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) site teams; and act as the contact point for social and community matters with contractors awarded the construction work.

 

As the Stakeholder and Community Relations Adviser you will monitor local business development, ensure reporting compliance and work with the PNGLNG SELCA group to drive land compensation.

 

Essential to this role will be your experience working within organisations and communities and effective stakeholder communication in developing countries. Team Leadership experience across developing countries, including strong PNG or Melanesia country experience are fundamental to this role.

 

Your experience will be supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.
