Job Description

Tetra Tech ES Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated to international development, is currently recruiting for key positions in the Clean Energy/ International Development field.

 

We have over 30 years of energy sector advisory services experience in developing and emerging market countries and are seeking a qualified experts to join us for a long-term assignment to implement USAID’s Clean Energy Development strategies in Columbia.

 

Energy Efficiency Specialist

Experience:

  • Senior level professional with extensive experience implementing energy efficiency, DSM, and clean production projects in developing countries.
  • Must have prior project management experience.
  • Must have prior experience working with government institutions, communities, and business and regulation agencies.
  • Experience working in the Colombia energy sector with understanding of key issues and stakeholders involved in off-grid renewable energy development.

Skills:

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  •  Must demonstrate strong skills in project management.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications skills in Spanish and English.

Education, Certification and Registration:

  • Advanced degree(s) in energy-related engineering, policy, business, finance, or economics is preferred.

 

Project Manager

Experience:

  • Senior level professional with extensive experience in senior level management.
  • Must have extensive experience implementing energy sector projects, especially in the area of rural electrification, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
  • Prior work experience in the Colombia energy sector is highly desirable

Skills:

  • Proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse host country and donor partners.
  • Must have the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, as well as to develop a network of contacts among international donor officials and non-government staff.
  • Must demonstrate proven leadership in the administration of similar size international donor supported projects.
  •  Must demonstrate strong skills in strategic planning, management, supervision and budgeting.
  • Evidence of excellent skills in intercultural communications and proven experience in facilitating dialogue, coordination, and collaboration among energy industry, financial sector, donors, communities, and government.
  • Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with senior representatives of national and local government, the private sector and civil society.
  • Familiarity with the political, social and cultural context of working in Columbia would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications skills in Spanish and English.

 Renewable Energy/Rural Electrification Specialist

 

Experience:

  • Senior level professional with extensive experience implementing renewable energy and rural electrification projects in developing countries..
  • Must have prior project management experience.
  • Must have prior experience working with government institutions, communities, and business and regulation agencies.
  • Experience working in the Colombia energy sector with understanding of key issues and stakeholders involved in off-grid renewable energy development.
