African Leadership Academy: Anzisha Prize

To expand the Anzisha Program for youth entrepreneurship in Africa and provide ongoing support and mentorship to Anzisha Prize applicants and fellows.

African Leadership Academy: Anzisha Prize

ALA, in partnership with the Foundation, established The Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership, strengthened its entrepreneurship curriculum and created a Pan-African prize. ALA is also an important partner and contributor to The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program.

ALA will work with its partners across multiple countries to run the Anzisha Prize, as well as a new ongoing support program. Promising young people who apply but are not selected as finalists for the Anzisha Prize will receive training through partner organizations.

Through this program, ALA will continue to host the Annual Anzisha Prize. Finalists for and winners of the prize will become part of a network of Anzisha Fellows. In addition to their cash prize, Anzisha Fellows will receive ongoing mentoring, professional guidance, linkages with financial institutions and investors, as well as business development skills from ALA and its network of partners and regional hubs.
