To put Europe on the path to an 80-95% emissions reduction by 2050.

CIFF and the European Climate Foundation to reduce emissions by 2050

CIFF’s grant to the European Climate Foundation aims to contribute to the potential reduction in emissions of 3 billion tonnes CO2-equivalent per year by 2030. The European Climate Foundation will advocate for a strong 2030 package within the European Parliament, promote Emissions Trading Scheme reform, support implementation of the State Aid framework, and a transition away from coal use. The programme funds the European Climate Foundation as a regranter with the aim of achieving the necessary and efficient transition to a low-carbon economy within Europe.
