Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN)

The Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN) is an alliance of businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and government to strengthen India’s ecosystem in support of market-driven approaches to energy access.

Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN)

USAID/India partnership with the Small Scale Sustainable Infrastructure Development Fund supports an alliance entitled "Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN)." The goal of CLEAN is to support and grow the decentralized clean energy sector in India. In the initial phase, the Network will convene research organizations, financial institutions, private sector companies, think tanks and donors around the goal to provide clean energy access to the poor. Recognizing that the applications of decentralized renewable energy go beyond electricity generation, the Network will also develop activities on mechanical and thermal applications focusing on end-uses including cooking, lighting, water pumping, small scale industrial needs and other domestic needs. In the long-term, the Network will establish a common platform for the decentralized clean energy sector, become the go-to point for entities to support the needs to entrepreneurs, and help create confidence in the market for both.
