Environmental Education for Forestry Management in the Amazon Flooded Forest

To promote awareness on environmental conservation and education among urban and regional populations, young filmmakers in Brazil were trained to produce documentaries and informational material on sustainable development areas in the Amazon region. This partnership between USAID/Brazil, implementing organization Sociedade Civil Mamiraua and ExxonMobil directly benefited 230 people (202 men and 38 women), and raised awareness on biodiversity and natural resources management among over 5,000 people.
