Doubling the Impact of Private Donations Through GAVI

The GAVI Matching Fund attracts powerful champions to advocate for and provide core business skills to help address technological and logistical challenges to immunisation.

GAVI Matching Fund

The GAVI Matching Fund is a major new private sector programme designed to raise US$ 260 million for immunisation by the end of 2015. Under the initiative, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have pledged about US$ 130 million combined (UK£ 50 million and US$ 50 million, respectively) to match contributions from corporations, foundations and other organisations, as well as from their customers, members, employees and business partners. This will allow GAVI to deliver more life-saving vaccines to the lowest income countries. Healthy children lead to healthy communities and healthy societies.
