Combating Child Malnutrition in Peru's Cajamarca Area

Addressing the high malnutrition rate of children 36 months and younger in Peru's Cajamarca region.

Healthy Communities - ALAC (Health)

The project’s objective is to strengthen the Regional Program to Reduce Chronic Malnutrition, or PREDECI, in Cajamarca, Peru. The partners wish to expand and strengthen the existing public-private malnutrition program in the area. Cajamarca has the third-highest chronic child malnutrition rate in the country, which makes it a significant health problem. Due to the complexity and geographic breadth of the problem, nutrition program coverage needs to increase and improve in order to achieve better impact and results.
