Integrated Peace and Development Alliance

A partnership to promote more jobs, more civic participation and more stability for the Niger Delta communities.

Leadership Empowerment Advocacy and Development (LEAD)

Research Triangle Institute implements the Leadership Empowerment Advocacy and Development (LEAD) activity under the MOU with the Foundation for Partnership in the Niger Delta (PIND), the Integrated Peace and Development Alliance. The Local Governance (LEAD) activity builds the capacity of state and local government institutions to assume greater responsibilities in delivering the services demanded by their constituents. Major activities include training on leadership skills, transparency, and accountability of the governance process at state, local, and community levels for state and non-state actors. This activity will help to decentralize decision-making processes and promote citizen participation in government decision-making in order to ensure improved service delivery in health, education, and water and sanitation.
