Formed in 2008, the aim of this partnership was to develop effective and affordable vaccines for developing countries where health gaps exist. The partnership makes use of technologies and information provided by universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies. It is currently focusing on neglected infectious diseases such as Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Salmonella enterica, Salmonella typhimurium and Shigella spp.
In another aspect, the program also seeks to expand its knowledge base through capacity building and educational programs.
