Soft Toys for Education Campaign

The campaign is a partnership between IKEA Foundation, UNICEF and Save the Children, and the idea is simple: for every soft toy or children’s book sold, IKEA Foundation donates $1 to children’s education projects so more children can get the education they deserve.

Soft Toys for Education Campaign

In 2003, IKEA and UNICEF began a two-year campaign that raised almost €2 million from the sale of IKEA PS BRUM teddy bears. The funds supported UNICEF’s “Right to Play” projects in Uganda and Angola. Save the Children joined the partnership in 2006. Over the last 12 years the Soft Toys for Education campaign has enabled IKEA Foundation to donate $90.4 million (67 million euro) – reaching more than 11 million children in 46 countries, through 99 projects.
