Song Hau 1 Coal Fired Power Plant Project and its Related Common Infrastructures

Viet Nam’s high economic growth rate and the delayed operation of power plants under the 6th National Electric Power Master Plan resulted in severe power shortages across the country’s cities, such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Given the expected increasing power demand, a coal fired power plant, an imported coal transshipment terminal, and power transmission lines will be constructed and developed t o ensure stable power supply for Viet Nam’s sustainable economic growth.
