Compete Project

USAID/West Bank and Gaza and DAI are helping the small and medium-sized Palestinian firms improve their capacity and connect with international markets so they can compete on the global stage.

USAID Compete Project

Compete Project is to facilitate rapid economic growth in the following key productive sectors: Agriculture, Tourism, Information Technology, and Stone and Marble. Compete will support improved access to markets for Palestinian firms through strategic market-based interventions that help reduce risk and enhance profit, stimulating market-driven solutions to missing service links in value-chains. Such interventions will enable the Palestinian private sector to meet the expanding demand in both domestic and export markets.

The Compete Project has two components; the first aims to build the managerial, marketing, and production skills of SMEs to help them meet quantity and quality demands of international and regional buyers; the second component aims to assist Palestinian business support organizations and service providers to improve their services to enhance their current direct market-opening activities in the four priority sectors mentioned above.
