Landesa seeks an Africa Region Director:

For over 50 years, Landesa has helped people living without secure rights to land to lift themselves out of poverty by helping secure rights to land. To date, over 120 million families in 38 countries have more secure futures thanks to the work of Landesa’s expert, dynamic staff and the support of a broad array of donors and allies. We are seeking a talented, collaborative, and experienced Africa Region Director (ARD) to be based preferably on the African Continent.
Job Summary: The Africa Region Director provides leadership for all of Landesa’s work in Africa and is part of a broader team developing and overseeing Landesa’s work globally. The ARD provides technical support and managerial leadership to ensure the effective achievement of Landesa’s Regional program objectives, including work in a handful of countries and offices in Liberia and Tanzania The ARD will oversee country office teams and provide technical support, including proposal drafting, project design, and undertaking specific project activities that may include: engagement with local civil society and government partners, field-based research, report writing, etc.
Location: Africa-based preferred. Landesa has offices in Tanzania and Liberia, but we are open to this position being located in Africa broadly. Must be able to legally work in Africa.
