Job Description

Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) seeks highly-motivated and experienced individuals interested in being considered for illustrative positions for an upcoming USAID-funded electrification program in Papua New Guinea (PNG). USAID, as a part of the PNG Electrification Partnership (PEP), aims to increase technical, financial, and organizational capacities of key energy sector institutions to bolster investment and private sector engagement in electrification expansion in Papua New Guinea. The activity will promote energy regulation, develop off-grid electrification models, improve domestic gas utilization, and catalyze private investment for energy projects in PNG.

Qualifications:
Junior-level Positions (Electrical Engineering, Utility Reform, Regulatory Reform, Renewable Energy, Communications, Gender and Social Inclusion, Monitoring & Evaluation)

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience contributing to international donor funded projects a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required
  • Fluency in English required

Mid-level Positions (Electrical Engineering, Utility Reform, Regulatory Reform, Renewable Energy, Communications, Gender and Social Inclusion, Monitoring & Evaluation)

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Preferred education: Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience contributing to international donor funded projects a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required
  • Fluency in English required

Senior-level Positions (Electrical Engineering, Utility Reform, Regulatory Reform, Renewable Energy, Entrepreneurship, Communications, Gender and Social Inclusion, Monitoring & Evaluation)

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Preferred education: Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience contributing to international donor funded projects a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required
  • Fluency in English required
