CARE USA Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) supports a variety of strategic and operational yet highly critical projects. The EPMO Change Management Lead (CM Lead) will play a key role in ensuring projects/initiatives meet objectives by increasing employee adoption of the change. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, ways of working, job roles and organization structures, and technology. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The CM Lead will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

The CM Lead will have to work through many others in the organization to succeed, acting as a coach for leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor, providing direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions, and supporting project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with high academic performance in organizational development, communications, business, or other areas relevant to CARE’s work
  • Project Management Training
  • Change Management Training
  • 5-7 years leading projects in a large organization, with successive increases in responsibility
  • 3-5 years demonstrated success applying change management methods and tools on major projects in complex organizations
  • Seeking current or former CARE employee, with associated knowledge of the global CARE organization and ways of working
  • Passion for and commitment to seeing complex changes through to successful completion
  • Outstanding written communication and presentation development
  • Ability to break down complex and technical topics into information understandable by general audiences
  • Ability to develop materials for a variety of audiences, including board, executives, technical teams, and general employees
  • Ability to conduct/facilitate trainings, events, conferences
  • Experience developing digital content, such as videos and infographics
  • High learning agility: readiness to jump in and engage with a variety of projects, even when the work may be in a new subject area
  • Self-starter and problem solver - entrepreneurial and solution-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once in a fast-paced context
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment and at all levels of the organization
