Save the Children Philippines seeks interested individuals to join our manpower pool for an anticipated USAID-funded project in the Philippines. Project life is three (3) years.
Project: Youth Democracy Academy: Building Capacities of Youth to Engage in Democratic Processes
Project Objective: The project aims to enhance political participation by youth in the Philippines. It shall address the complex and interrelated array of problems related to the electoral processes and youth participation by proposing a comprehensive and tested civic education program for youth.
Job Grade E
The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for providing technical leadership and overall management direction for the project. S/he is also responsible for project inputs, program strategy, external representation and coordination with project counterparts, Government of the Philippines contacts, other donors within the sector and other programs as necessary. The COP is ultimately responsible for compliance with the agreement results and the oversight of project activities which will meet the stated objectives of the project. S/he shall ensure that the program is integrated and consistent with SCP strategy and shall be accountable for the administration and fiscal management of the area project office/s; the direction, supervision and evaluation of staff and the planning, implementation and evaluation of project activities.
The candidate we are looking for must have relevant graduate degree in social sciences, education, international development or related fields and at least eight (8) years of professional experience is successfully managing leadership development; capacity building projects and mobilizing stakeholder organizations and networks for participatory governance.
