Job Description

Cardno ID (International Development) manages a number of donor-funded programs in the Asia Pacific region. We are currently seeking to fill Contractor Representative positions to be based in Asia (one position for immediate appointment), Melbourne or Canberra. The Contractor Representative has responsibility across a geographically defined portfolio and will be positioned to provide leadership and support to various donor funded programs. These roles will be accountable for the strategic direction, commercial management, client relationship management, business development and direct staff management. Cardno seeks applications from persons that are interested in being part of our team with experience working on DFAT/DFID funded programs.

As the Contractor Representative, you will contribute to all aspects of activity management, project planning, implementation and reporting, working in close collaboration with the program support teams and managing the needs of complex environments. This role will work with various support functions within Cardno ID and external key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, coordination and stakeholder management.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic direction and overall guidance on achieving agreed targets and objectives;
  • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of Cardno’s portfolio;
  • Manage significant annual budget of donor funded programs in line with the program strategy;
  • Maintain close relationship and effective communication with clients (i.e DFAT, government agencies) on behalf of Cardno.

The successful candidate will have proven skills in program management and donor relationships. You will present with a high level of leadership, client-focused, solid communication with strong negotiation and organisational skills. You will possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ professional experience working at a high level within international development and DFAT funded programs.
