Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pricing lead for various solicitations relating to grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts for new business, re-competes, and cost extensions
  • Provide guidance to field personnel, subs, and partners on budget development
  • Develop line item budgets for contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements
  • Develop and refine pricing models and templates that are specific to funding mechanism and customer
  • Use business intelligence tools to enhance the organization’s ability to make more informed decisions on the cost and pricing approach
  • Research and analyze industry cost/price data to discern the competitive landscape, client tendencies, market drivers, and trends
  • Provide guidance on the Blumont cost and pricing structure to Capture Managers, HQ and Field Program Staff, and Proposal Team
  • Pricing lead in all phases of the proposal process from pre-award through post-award
  • Provide cost and pricing recommendations based on analysis of request for proposals (RFP) and program announcements
  • Prepare cost and price analysis to establish the price-to-win target for the proposal
  • Develop cost proposals for foreign government aid agencies, bilateral and multilateral institutions, private foundations, etc.
  • Write the cost/price volume narrative that syncs the cost/price approach to the technical approach
  • Provide growth and development to pricing staff on cost and pricing processes, principles, and strategies

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, preferably for a global, non-profit organization
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Word
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of economic, statistical, accounting, and financial analysis principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of request for proposals (RFP) and program announcements
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Willing to perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment
  • Knowledge of grants, cooperative agreements, and contract types
  • Familiarity with international business and foreign currency exchange
