International Center for Research on Women seeks a full-time Director, Global Communications, to lead the execution of ICRW’s Communications Strategy. Director will lead efforts to communicate ICRW’s brand and research findings to a variety of audiences in the international development community, private sector, donors, partners, policymakers, and the general public. Responsible for PR/media efforts to raise awareness with top national and international media outlets. Promote ICRW through brand and web management, publications, PR/communication campaigns, events, earned media relations, marketing initiatives, social media, community participation, blogger outreach and partnership management. Serves as spokesperson with media and other stakeholders where needed and/or appropriate.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s in Communications, PR, Marketing, Media Relations or related field; 12 yrs related working experience with a proven ability to cultivate and secure strategic media, manage a team, serve as spokesperson, securing media placements and initiating and responding to media inquiries. Experience in supporting project and account management, including measuring results of strategic plans and programs. Track record in developing and implementing short and long-term media, guerrilla marketing, PR and social media plans, and can work effectively with senior management and partners. Existing contacts with national/global media outlets are essential. Nonprofit or nongovernmental organization and international development experience preferred.
