The Director of Operations and Finance – Heifer USA is accountable for the operational planning, execution, and performance monitoring of the Heifer USA Social Enterprise. The position leads and closely coordinates with Ranch’s and cooperatives’ operations and finance staff to establish timely and accurate reporting of financial results and performance metrics as well as improving operating efficiencies. S/he manages and focuses Heifer human and financial resources on the creation of viable, self-sustaining farmer cooperatives and profitable farmers and helps to align Heifer USA operations at the Ranch and in the field to actively contribute to our work with farmers and cooperatives. Also responsible for liaising with Human Resources and Legal Services on key items.
The Director of Operations and Finance – Heifer USA is also responsible for collaborating in and ensuring support for resource mobilization activity that generates revenue to cover the costs of Heifer USA’s Ranch and Farm operations. And is responsible for all aspects of Heifer Ranch operations including compliance with local statutes and regulations and Heifer human resource policies; and leveraging Heifer’s assets for greater impact and return on investment.
