Job Description

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Bogor is looking for your expertise to support it in implementing a more professional monitoring and evaluation system across multiple projects. Established in 1993, CIFOR is an international forestry research organisation and a member of the Global Agricultural Research Partnership (CGIAR). CIFOR’s research into forests and climate contributes to the climate debate and discussions surrounding Indonesia’s position in the global context. CIFOR leads the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), a multi-sector campaign platform funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). A particular challenge involved with this is the structured integration of research findings and lessons learned into a comprehensive monitoring system that facilitates mutual learning processes among the partners of the GLF platform.

Your tasks will involve:
  • Designing and implementing the projects monitoring and reporting framework for multiple projects
  • Managing collection and analysing data related to the process and quality of the operationalization of landscape approaches in intervention sites
  • Providing support in applying Theory of Change and evaluation methods in project design and implementation
  • Coordinating the dissemination of emerging project using various platforms
Your profile:
  • Degree in economics or social science, preferably with modules covering monitoring and evaluation or Theory of Change
  • Several years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation and managing complex data sets
  • Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate partners
  • Very good written and spoken English, preferably with a knowledge of French
  • In addition you have the citizenship of an EU member state for reasons to meet the criteria of the Integrated Experts program, UK passport holders are eligible to apply
