Job Description

The overall objective of the work is to support the conditions for sustained economic growth through a financially viable, reliable, and affordable power system. This activity’s objectives are: 1. Support the development of a competitive power system to reduce costs and increase revenues and profitability. This effort could include a variety of activities, including the use of wheeling and electricity auctions, or developing new activities, such as a market for ancillary services. 2. Improve the performance of the electricity transmission and distribution system. This assistance should be results-oriented, such as reducing line losses, improving revenue recovery, and increasing the stability and connectivity of the grid

We are currently accepting CVs/resumes for experts in the following areas:

  • Utility reform
  • Energy planning and policy
  • Energy procurement systems
  • Clean Energy Generation
    Transmission and Distribution systems and Infrastructure
  • Emerging technologies such as distributed energy (e.g., solar, battery storage), electric vehicles, modern gas systems
  • Energy efficiency
  • Gas infrastructure
  • Private sector engagement (energy sector)
  • Regional trade for electricity and gas

Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree in engineering or similar technical field; advanced degree preferred


Minimum 10 years of experience supporting or leading energy sector projects
Experience supporting USAID or other donor-funded energy projects in Pakistan or South Asia required.


Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and use time effectively; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.


Strong oral and written communication skills.


Fluency in English is required.
