AECOM is currently seeking an Energy Team Leader/IDIQ Manager with senior level expertise in the energy sector in Southeast Asia for an anticipated upcoming regional USAID energy project that seeks to develop sound energy infrastructure, enable energy sector reforms, and grow sustainable, secure energy markets throughout the Indo-Pacific.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience as a Team Leader, Chief of Party, or Project Manager on projects involving energy projects in Southeast Asia. The candidate will be comfortable coordinating with stakeholders in multiple countries at senior levels of government and organization. In addition, the candidate will be confident to coordinate with technical experts.
An undergraduate degree in engineering or similar technical field; advanced degree preferred
Significant experience in the energy sector, including a successful record of technical management (e.g., Chief of Party, Practice Director…)
Knowledge of/experience in the following technical areas: Utility reform, energy planning and policy, energy procurement systems, regional energy trade and integration, emerging technologies such as distributed energy (e.g., solar, battery storage), electric vehicles, modern gas systems, energy efficiency, natural gas infrastructure, private sector engagement (energy sector), regional trade for electricity and gas
Experience in international project management involving the direct coordination of project activities with high-level governmental officials for USAID or other donors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills, including a good command of written and spoken English.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and use time effectively; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.
