The Civil Society Strengthening Project (CCSS), funded by USAID and implemented by East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) seeks to increase the capability of Cambodian civil society to engage in democratic processes by representing citizen concerns. EWMI CCSS seeks a facilitator for a two-day reflection with its civil society partners in August, 2018 to assist the group to reflect on its collective experience, identify lessons learned and map the way forward.
II. Scope of Work
A. Prepare for the workshop with a desk review of recent materials produced by EWMI and its civil society partners. The materials will be provided by EWMI CCSS.
B. Provide input to EWMI CCSS staff on final agenda and work sessions for the reflection.
C. Facilitate sessions in two-day reflection in Siem Reap.
D. Oversee process of organizing documentation of the workshop (including records of breakout groups, etc).
E. Write and present summary report and recommendations on follow up for EWMI CCSS.
III. Timeline and reporting
The consultancy shall take place between August 1 and September 17, 2018. The consultant shall report to the CCSS Chief of Party.
• At least 8 years of experience working with civil society in Cambodia on programs involving public participation
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating strategic meetings with civil society
• Excellent communication skills, including listening skills
• Superior writing skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Creative, curious and open-minded approach to working with partners
• Fluency in Khmer and English
• Cambodian nationality or International
