  • Posted on 8 September 2022

Job Description

The purpose of this APS is to solicit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and grant applications from qualified, legally registered Ugandan Agriculture Sector Industry Apex Organizations (IAOs), Ugandan non-profit or for-profit organizations, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Academic Institutions to pilot new innovations, approaches, and models for gender equity and social inclusion within the Activity partner IAOs. All awards issued under this APS will be to further advance the objectives of Feed the Future’s ISS Activity to facilitate agriculture-led economic growth in Uganda.

The Feed the Future Uganda ISS Activity is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is being implemented by DT Global International Development USA, Ltd., (formerly known as Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd.). Feed the Future’s ISS Activity will improve the effectiveness of Government of Uganda (GOU) Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and Industry Apex Organizations (IAOs) that are vital to driving inclusive agriculture-led economic growth. Feed the Future’s ISS Activity’s approach will focus on developing public-private dialogue platforms and reform coalitions to drive behavior change, targeting actions and attitudes that hinder agribusiness productivity and growth – particularly among MDAs and IAOs within the Agricultural Sector. This approach will focus on private and public institutions alike, to align incentives and develop stronger connections between the two.
