Job Description

Chemonics seeks an associate to join the Global Technology Support team within the Global Technology and Infrastructure division. The associate will provide technical support to an assigned division in our home office in addition to providing remote support to field offices located around the world. The associate will be assigned to support laptops, mobile devices, printers, A/V, and will provide Office 365 application expertise. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide technical support to an assigned division in our home office in addition to providing remote support to IT field offices located around the world
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues as well as detect and resolve connectivity problems, escalating more complex issues when needed
  • Resolve problems by addressing staff needs promptly and courteously
  • Provide formal and informal training to staff on how to use Chemonics’ technology solutions
  • Provide A/V support for conference rooms, including assisting and training end-users on the proper use of A/V equipment
  • Track all service requests via a ticketing system to ensure appropriate service and follow up
  • Contribute to problem-resolution database and a knowledge-base for staff to access
  • Responsible for imaging, installing software, and configuring staff laptops as laptop hardware leases end and new laptops are issued
  • Work with Global Support team to create and maintain operating system images with the latest updates
  • Configure user VOIP phones and voicemail
  • Contribute to and participate in project start-ups, including IT systems recommendations, design and optimization, and other initiatives to promote the stability and efficiency of the field office IT systems.
  • Assist with providing quality control (inspections) and initial configuration of outbound IT equipment for field offices
  • Participate in new business work and assist with writing IT cost proposals for proposal teams
  • Maintain and expand technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks and participating in professional associations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination or education and work
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required
  • Demonstrated understanding of networking and system administration concepts including Active Directory
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Understanding of Office 365 applications and using SharePoint online as a document management system
  • Familiar with topics related to international development
  • Demonstrated ability to provide input to or write reports or documentation; ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and persuasive manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and work prioritization skills with an attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload and complete work
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Regional language proficiency preferred
