Head of Supply Chain
£62,189 per annum plus excellent benefits
IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a world-wide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals.
IPPF is looking for an experienced Supply Chain specialist to lead the federation in ensuring the availability of sexual and reproductive supplies and medicines to IPPF Member Associations by managing IPPF’s third party agent responsible for the procurement of commodities and providing technical and strategic leadership to support supply chain management throughout the federation.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of senior technical leadership in supply chain management roles and have advanced application in international supply chain management, preferably in sexual and reproductive health in the INGO, health or pharmaceutical sectors and ideally in developing countries. You’ll have experience in managing third party procurement agents and a good working knowledge of tendering procedures and procurement contract legislation, coupled with a track record in managing, leading and motivating employees. You’ll also have direct experience in working externally with bilateral, donor and implementing organisations on addressing commodity security issues.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, be able to influence and negotiate at a senior level, be commercially astute with proven analytical skills and be a solid project manager. You’ll share IPPF’s vision and values and have the sensitivity to work in the multi-cultural environment in which IPPF operates. Some travels will be required for the role.
